General Description
Flat Plate Heat exchangers allow the
transfer
of heat from exhaust air to ventilation air. Since the heat is transferred
through a medium like aluminum, the clean air and dirty air never come in
contact. Consequently up to 90% of the heat is recovered and placed in clean,
healthy ventilation air.

unique heat recovery situations.

Heat-X-Changer's unique construction of engineered airflow channels and close
rib spacing provide maximum heat transfer, among the highest in the industry,
and versatile configuration options.
Strong Construction
The standard Heat-X-Changer unit is constructed of alternately oriented channels
of high grade aluminum. These channels are not sealed by crimping, they are
secured with an adhesive sealant applied between plates to produce an exchanger
cell that is extremely rigid and virtually "crush-proof." This unique
process eliminates exposed joints and provides a tight, leak-resistant seal.
Cross contamination of supply and exhaust air is virtually eliminated.
Custom Designs
Heat-X-Changer units also offer the option of custom construction. Units can
be constructed of stainless steel, galvanized steel or aluminum plates to
match any special requirements. Custom built Heat-X-Changer units can handle
temperatures up to 1000oF where required. Special Epoxy or Heresite
coatings are also available for highly corrosive environments, or Xseal can
be applied to the complete cell where an airtight or water seal is critical.
Independent Testing
XeteX is one of the only companies to offer certified, independent tests showing
product efficiency. All tests comply to ASHRAE Testing Standard 84-1991. Test
data is available upon request.
